"We have the technology, we can rebuild him." Arsene Wenger must reinvent himself to rebuild Arsenal

Wenger is ready to sign a new two-year deal but faces the prospect of losing Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil
Arsene Wenger will be charged with a huge rebuilding job this summer - and is likely to have to replace Alexis Sanchez and Mesut Ozil .
The Arsenal boss is set to be given a new two-year contract despite the club struggling to make the top four and also facing a losing battle to keep their star duo.
But it is understood the club is now facing up the very real prospect of losing Sanchez and Ozil as both have been offered huge new record breaking deals and neither has signed.
That has left Wenger almost resigned to having to plan without them and find replacements for the future and Arsenal will back him heavily with a massive budget of over £100m to ‘try to take the club to the next level.’
Arsenal have already drawn up a list of transfer targets, with Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, Monaco sensation Kylian Mbappe, Borussia Dortmund’s Marco Reus and Celtic’s Moussa Dembele among their targets up front.
Arsenal offered £40m for Lacazette last summer and remain keen while it could take a record breaking offer for Mbappe who is the hottest prospect in Europe. Arsenal have been watching Dembele and believe he could be lured to London.
They want a new keeper with David Ospina set to go and Stoke’s Jack Butland is top of the list while Jordan Pickford and Joe Hart are also on their radar.
Celtic’s young left back Kieran Tierney is another target. Valencia’s Jose Gaya has also been watched but Manchester City are in pole position.
That could raise doubts over Nacho Moreal’s future while Kieran Gibbs has one year left on his contract this summer which is also the case for Alex Oxlade-Chamberlain and Jack Wilshere.
Manchester City are watching developments on Wilshere while Oxlade-Chamberlain is interesting Manchester United in what could represent another part of a major shake-up.
Arsenal could need a new midfield general while Aaron Ramsey could be sacrificed with Everton’s Ross Barkley also on the list of potential targets.
Ozil has been offered £280,000-a-week but has yet to sign while Sanchez is a big money target for Paris Saint Germain.
There is a realisation that they need one of the biggest shake ups of the squad in recent times and it is clear that by backing Wenger with a new deal that Arsenal believe he is still the man to oversee it.
