Ja sam pesimista zato sto nevidim napredak u radu FO. Sve nesto ne povezano, ne planski uradjeno. Potezi iz nekog ocaja (bacanje pikova u vodu).

Kao raspad sistema. Je li trener znao, ili ne da ce se ici na QBa... Startni nam QB vec razocaran situacijom u Medama, jer nije mislio da ce draftat QB (nebi me cudilo da mu je tako i receno, tj. da nece) jel Pace znao da ce draftat QBa prije drafta, ili mu je tako doslo 5 do 12? Hoce li Fox biti trener i iduce godine, ili mu je ova godina oprostajna turneja? Da li igramo za pikove iduce sezone, ili cemo se truditi biti kompetativni koliko toliko?

Kad bude razloga da budem optimista, ja cu to biti, ali dosadasnji los rad ove uprave/trenera, mi ne dozvoljavaju da imam ni 1% optimizma kad je ovaj tim, i kad je njegova buducnost u pitanju.

Jedina pozitivna stvar u svemu ovome je sto secerasa vise necu morati gledati kako se prenemaze na terenu. Eno citam zvao Texanse da im ponudi svoje usluge za chunga lunga zvaku, a ovi mu nisu htjeli ni slusalicu podignuti.

Ma nisam ni optimista ni pesimista, nego više onako realista
Kad vidim kako je lani igrao passing napad (katastrofalno loš) i kako je tim bio u dosta utakmica koje su izgubili kompetitivan, a sve to sa rosterom koji je bio poharan ozljedama (21 igrač ranije završio sezonu), onda očekujem uz manje ozljeda da se dokopaju bar 6 pobjeda ove godine, a to onda navješćuje bolje dane u 2018 i tu famoznu borbu za playoff ...
Čitam dosta Amere i kako im nije jasno zašto su izabrali Trubiskog kad su dali "tolike" pare za Glennona.. Jest moš mislit, 3 godine, 45 milijuna, a samo 18 garantirano, od toga 15.5 u prvoj godini... ako Glennon bude igrao dobro, ne žuriš sa Trubiskim i imaš super situaciju, a ako Glennon ne bude igrao dobro možeš ga na proljeće otpustiti i Trubisky je starter za 2018.-u..
Divizija je zaebana, ali Packersi su jednu ozljedu Rodgersa udaljeni od raspada sustava, jer bez njega oni su katastrofa; Lionsi bi ove godine trebali uzeti tu diviziju, dok od Minnesote očekujem sličan omjer kao i kod Bearsa... imaju bezveze napad...

Ja nisam pesimista jer kukamo oko QB čitav život i sad je najbolje vrijeme uzeti jednog...navodno zadnja 3 drafta Pace je želio praviti trade za Mariotu ili Wentza ali nije uspjelo mu i sad jeste ... neki. Hall od fame GM su već su rekli da je ovo dobar pokušaj s obzirom da tražimo tog QB.. imali smo dobrih draftova u zadnje vrijeme samo White treba da opravda to ... čak i Titans owner kaže da su imali ponude da se promjere neke ekipe na 5 poziciju zbog ovog momka i čim smo ga mi uzeli prestali su ga zvati

Cutler je bio isto 'nada' Medama, tj. lik je vec bio dokazan kad je dosao iz Denvera (mislim), ali nije imao nikakav blok ispred sebe, i logicno da nije ispunio ocekivano..poenta je da se prvo napravi dobra OL, cak i odbrana, pa onda ubacis QB, ne mora ni biti prva runda, ali da dodje na dobru ekipu, a ne obrnuto. Bojim se da ga se ne potrosi olako...a glupo je u prvoj rundi uzeti igraca i cekati ga, ne ubaciti odmah. Bar moje misljenje.

ja sam Jeya branio i ovdje sam rekao da cim draftamo QB da cu mu se posrat u usta ...tako da sam to vec rekao.. Jaya sam branio jer sam smatrao da nemamo ekipu da n dobije Rodgersa u nasoj diviziji sanse nema ...on je isto tako bio kao nezainteresovan da nesto uradi , ali ne moze se osporiti da kad je on dosao mi nismo imali recivere , imali smo najgoru OL u ligi , ali solidnu odbranu ...Ol je bila presmjesa jadna u to vrijeme, ali smo opet nekako dosli do NFC finala te godine zahvaljujuci odbrani koja je bila ne najbolja ali je bila u top 8 sigurno.

onda su menagment pravili greske gdje OC dovedes i naredne ga zamjenis drugim i onda svake godine novi offense ...vremenom se i ta odbrana raspala i sve je otislo u PM... cekao sam trenutak hvala bogu da draftamo QB i sad smo uzeli momka nadat se da cemo pogoditi ..nikad bolji trenutak da se uzme jedan QB ...Raidersi su nasli svog Carra cuvali ga 2 godine na klupi i sad da se nije povrijedio ko zna gdje bi dogurali prosle godine ..Carr je bio druga runda isto je igrao za Fresno St slaba divizija gdje samo zadnjih godina je je Boise State nesto napravio ali nista posebno , i eto za vrijeme Carra Fresno je bi u top 20....ja se nadam da cemo dobit QB pribliznog njemu

pazi ovo je nama najbolja pozicija na draftu nakon dugo godina ..mi nismo tako bilo losi sa rekordom koliko je bilo lose to sto nismo bil u playoffu .. uvjek smo bili tu na 500 ili bolji cak i 10-6 pa ne odes u playoff ... **** eto i Romo ode u penziju covjek ima isto jednu playoff pobjedu

Hall of fame GM misli da je ispravan potez pa vidjet cemo.. cak i evo Jay Cutler tvrdi da ga nebi trebali odnah stavljat da igra vjerovatno zato jer zna da ekipa nije spremna i da se odmah i onako poljuljani nvijaci okome na QB, koji ce odmah dobiti priliku da igra a ni recivera nemamo, odbeana jos se trazi, kao i OL



Polian, Wolf laud Pace for bold trade

Polian on Pace's draft strategy: "Bottom line: Great, great move. That's what general managers are paid to do. That's draft management at its best."

Former NFL general managers Bill Polian and Ron Wolf were both inducted into the Pro Football Hall of Fame in 2015. But that's not the only thing they have in common.

In recent days, the two men have separately praised Bears general manager Ryan Pace for trading up in the first round of the draft to select North Carolina quarterback Mitch Trubisky with the second overall pick.

Polian helped the Bills reach four Super Bowls and the Colts advance to two, winning one. Appearing on "The Waddle and Silvy Show" on ESPN 1000, he called the Bears trade for Trubisky "a stroke of genius."

"The Bears kept quiet," Polian said. "The Browns told the world that they were going to take [Myles] Garrett and trade back up for Trubisky assuming no one else would do it.

Bears general manager Ryan Pace has traded up in the first round each of the last two years to draft Leonard Floyd in 2016 and Mitch Trubisky this year.
"The Bears kept quiet. They talked with San Francisco, they made a deal and boom, they took him at the very spot that Cleveland could have had they made a deal with San Francisco and assured themselves of both guys.

"I thought it was just tremendous of Ryan Pace. Great move, great organizational move, great discipline in terms of keeping things quiet and staying out of the press. Bottom line: Great, great move. That's what general managers are paid to do. That's draft management at its best."

The Bears traded up from No. 3 to No. 2 in the first round to take Trubisky, the top quarterback on their draft board. The deal cost them third- and fourth-round picks this year and a third-rounder next year.

"[Trubisky] has the most ability of anybody that came out in the draft this year," Polian said. "The most natural ability. The most natural thrower. He's a good athlete, probably a superior athlete. He can use his feet to get out of trouble and do things in the pocket. He's a pretty accurate thrower."

The fact that Trubisky started only 13 games in college is no longer as big of an issue as it would have been when Polian was a general manager.

"The rules have changed," Polian said. "The idea that Bill Parcells put forth, which I certainly subscribed to, that you've got to have a quarterback with 30 starts and a 70 percent winning percentage and all that kind of stuff is long gone.

"Now quarterbacks are so scarce that Andy Reid traded up to the 10th pick in the draft to get a project. So that's just the way it is. Those are the rules and you have to play by them. And so good for Ryan Pace and George McCaskey and the Chicago Bears. Terrific job."

Wolf, who helped the Raiders win two Super Bowls and the Packers one after trading for Brett Favre, spoke about the Bears trade to the Chicago Sun-Times.

"I admire anyone with the gumption to [do that]," Wolf said. "If they have the conviction, which they obviously do, that this is their savior … you go and get him. It takes intestinal fortitude and [Pace] displayed that. He has a belief in the player. And not only Pace, but the other people must be in line with that, too. If that's your guy, you go do it."

"You've got to give credit where credit is due. They thought enough of [Trubisky] and got him. Lord knows they needed a quarterback, so they got one."

Why Jim Harbaugh Is A Serious Candidate To Coach The Bears In 2018



In anticipation of the firestorm from Michigan fans, please let this be known. This Jim Harbaugh Bears connection exists. It would be foolish to deny it. Of course it doesn’t guarantee anything. He could very well stay in college, but rumors have hinted for the past year plus that he is awaiting an opportunity to get back into the NFL. Specifically in Chicago .

Jim Trotter, a respected analyst who works for ESPN and Sports Illustrated said so back in December of 2016. The buzz didn’t come out of nowhere.

IF HE WERE TO COME BACK TO THE NFL, FROM WHAT I’VE BEEN TOLD, IS THAT HIS DREAM JOB WOULD BE IN CHICAGO WHERE HE STARTED HIS PLAYING CAREER UNDER MIKE DITKA. “PEOPLE ARE GOING TO TAKE THAT AS ME SAYING HE’S LOOKING TO LEAVE MICHIGAN, BUT I’M NOT SAYING THAT AT ALL. IF YOU KNOW JIM HARBAUGH THE COMPETITOR, YOU’D KNOW HE HAS UNFINISHED BUSINESS WITH OHIO STATE HAVING NOT BEATEN URBAN MEYER YET. BUT FROM WHAT I’VE BEEN TOLD, CHICAGO WOULD BE HIS NFL DREAM JOB.”

Nothing is set in stone of course. Harbaugh could easily lose the itch and stay in his cushy position at Ann Arbor. On the other hand, there are plenty of reasons to think he’d make the jump back to the pro level. Here are the biggest ones and why the Bears are the desired landing spot.
The Jim Harbaugh Bears ties

This of course is the easy one. Harbaugh has deep ties to the Bears organization He was of course drafted in the first round by them in 1987. Over the next few years he went 35-30 as a starter and got them to the playoffs in 1991. Former team chairman Michael McCaskey had a hand in him being drafted in the first place. It seems the man made an impression even before he was part of the organization. After playing in Chicago for seven years he was released in 1994. A move that then-head coach Dave Wanndstedt says he deeply regretted. Harbaugh of course went to Indianapolis and a year later reached a Pro Bowl and AFC championship. That mental toughness and will to win was something they took for granted, having watched him endure the ire of Mike Ditka during six of those seven seasons. That would explain how he’s able to shrug off critics so easily.

Perhaps Harbaugh, who was enjoying breakout success at Stanford, was just the man for the job given his QB background. It got so far as his representatives meeting with the Bears brass.

However, it didn’t work out that way. The Bears reached the NFC championship in 2010, Smith thereby saving his job. Harbaugh instead went to San Francisco.
Vic Fangio would likely stay

There is no question the end game of the Bears would be simple if John Fox were fired. Find a way to keep defensive coordinator Vic Fangio in place. He has had the most success of anybody on the coaching staff since arriving in 2015. The players love him and feel he can get that defense back to playing dominant football again.



Of course the tricky part is hiring a head coach that would be willing to keep him and also somebody Fangio would be willing to work with. Harbaugh solves both those problems. He and Fangio go way back. The two got together in 2010 at Stanford. Fangio became his defensive coordinator. Then when Harbaugh made the jump to San Francisco, Fangio followed. Together they reached three-straight NFC championships and a Super Bowl. It’s hard to imagine there being a problem with a reunion.
Mitch Trubisky

When it comes to luring in top quality coaches, every team needs a carrot to dangle. Often the best bait? A talented, young quarterback to build around. For years the Bears just haven’t had that. They did back in 2010 with Cutler, who was 27-years old at the time. That fell through though. Now they’ve got another chance thanks to the presence of Mitch Trubisky. The #2 overall pick is considered the future of the franchise. He’s also the type of talent Harbaugh never really had in San Francisco. To be more precise he is a natural thrower with a stronger arm than Alex Smith. He has greater pocket awareness and better touch on his passes than Colin Kaepernick. It’s not hard to imagine putting him in the hands of a QB specialist like Harbaugh. After all the last time he had a Fangio defense, a Pro Bowl running back and a talented passer he was taking his team to conference championship games. There is no doubt Chicago would love to see him do it. Accomplish something as a coach he never was able to as a player with the Bears. All the while exorcising some demons. Whether it be conquering the shadow of Ditka or finally getting that ring which has eluded him for years. It just makes sense. Will it happen? That depends on what transpires over the next eight months.

Postoje ti neki tenderi gdje ekipa ima odredjena prava na nekog igraca, npr Blount do nekog trenutka sada smije pregovarati sa ekipama i potpisati za njih ali ako do tog roka ne nadje ekipu onda moze igrati samo za NEP za taj odredjeni novac. Neki oblic restricted free agenta u NFL-u. Slabo kada se dese takvi slucajevi ali opet ih je bilo.

Miami je iskoristio tender na Welkeru ali je on u konacnici ipak zavrsio u NEP jer je NEP imao namjeru da ga potpise pa onda trejdao za njega ipak.
