Juventus have formally requested re-entry into the European Club Association and have dropped out of the European Super League, it’s been confirmed today.
The Bianconeri initially dropped out of the organisation back in April 2021 under the leadership of former ECA chairman Andrea Agnelli, who was part of the leadership for the European Super League, keen to break away from UEFA’s Champions League.
The Super League project was met with widespread opposition by fans and quickly collapsed, with the participating Italian sides withdrawing quickly. The Old Lady held on, alongside Real Madrid and Barcelona, but eventually dropped out back in June of last year.
Juventus rejoin ECA
As announced by ECA Chairman Nasser Al-Khelaifi today, Juventus have now formally requested to rejoin the organisation, which’ll be finalised soon. The club have also cut ties with the European Super League.
Al-Khelaifi discussed the Old Lady’s decision at an ECA Executive Committee meeting in London today.
“I start the meeting with very significant news – after having several meetings recently with their management and owners, I am pleased to report that Juventus has requested to re-join ECA, which will be formalised shortly.
“ECA’s door is always open to clubs who believe in collective interests, progressive reform and working constructively with all stakeholders – we are delighted Juventus will rejoin the European football family.”
Conte was hopeful of becoming the next Juventus coach for several months
Antonio Conte is set to continue his managerial career as the coach of Napoli, with several reports suggesting he has accepted a three-year deal to manage the club.
It is a surprising move by the former Juventus midfielder and coach, who had been a free agent for much of the last 18 months after leaving his job at Tottenham.
Conte has won the Italian league title with both Juventus and Inter Milan and remains one of the country’s best coaches.
As Max Allegri struggled to maintain the trust of the Juventus board, several reports suggested that Juventus would call Conte back.
He reportedly turned down Napoli and several other clubs at the time to wait and see if Juve would make him their next manager.
A report on Tuttomercatoweb claims the ex-Tottenham manager waited for Juventus for several months.
When the Bianconeri decided to move in another direction following Allegri’s departure, he also decided to move on and will be in the dugout for Napoli next term.

Conte is one of the best managers we could have named to our bench, but he has his problems and we are better of with Thiago Motta at the helm.

Thiago Motta requests to Juventus
Daniele Longo of Calciomercato.com details how Thiago Motta has asked Juventus to find a way to keep Adrien Rabiot, not wanting to lose the French midfielder on a free transfer this summer. Giuntoli will soon offer the 29-year-old a two-year deal worth €7m net per season.
The imminent Bianconeri coach has also asked the Old Lady to find a way to retain Gleison Bremer, not wanting the defender to be sold in the coming months. The plan is to sell unneeded players like Dean Huijsen, Matias Soule, Fabio Miretti and Weston McKennie to generate ****.
According to Italian outlet Tuttosport, Newcastle are considering making a move for Juventus centre-back Dean Huijsen after missing out on a free transfer for Tosin Adarabioyo.
It’s believed that a fee of around €30m might be enough to persuade the Turin-based club to sell, though whether Newcastle are willing to commit that much on a defender when they had planned on a free transfer remains to be seen.

Perin knows this means he will struggle to play, so he is now looking for a new club. A report on Tuttomercatoweb claims Fiorentina is showing interest in him.
Ja bi se prije Poljaka rijesio ako je moguce...Kad smo vec kupili "najboljeg" golmana lige, nece biti mjesta za obojicu na golu..Perin u svakom slucaju kosta 4x manje od Wojkana..
