Arsenal target Bernard will go for £22m, according to club director

ARSENAL target Bernard will be allowed to leave Atletico Mineiro if his £22m valuation is met, according to a director of the Brazilian club.

Arsene Wenger is keen to recruit the 20-year-old, who is also being tracked by a number of top European sides.

But Atletico Mineiro director Eduardo Maluf today made it clear that the club are happy to keep the player for another season if the right bid is not forthcoming.

"The president has already made very clear, if an offer of €25m [£22m] arrives, he is going to sell and we will buy another player," Maluf told Radio Globo.

"If this offer did not appear, Bernard will stay at Atletico. He is young and can leave at the end of the year."

Arsenal have faced frustration in this summer transfer window having failed to secure big target Gonzalo Higuain who has joined Italian side Napoli.

Suarez + Bernard, imali bi sigurno jedan od najjacih napada u ligi ali neko bi morao otpasti, Theo, Giroud ili Podolski.

Ox i Gnabry ce se zadovoljavati kup utakmicama dok se nadam da ce ovako biti prva.

Nijedno nije lose, po meni Arteta nije grozan kao sto neki forumasi misle da jeste na tom podrucju, on donosi mir u nasoj igri iako nije neko zvucno ime, mislim da mozemo bez pravog DMF-a..

Wallcot je pokazao na ovoj turneji da zaista ne moze driblati i preuzimati odgovornost. Njega Wenger mora sto vise ograniciti, sto je vise ogranicen to je bolji. Arsenal Boss Arsene Wenger: We Are Not Close to Signing Anybody

Arsenal fans will be made to wait a little longer for Arsene Wenger and the club to announce any new signings this summer. Having finished up their pre-season tour of the Far East yesterday in Japan with a 2-1 win over Urawa Red Diamonds, the Gunners are set to head back to London to prepare for the Emirates Cup next weekend.

Despite having won all four matches in Indonesia, Vietnam, and Japan, Wenger has failed to spend money yet this season. Arsenal have been linked to numerous players, including Luis Suarez, Gonzalo Higuain, Wayne Rooney, Bernard, Luiz Gustavo, and more, but nothing has led to anything concrete.

Early on in the summer, a deal looked to be struck between Real Madrid and Arsenal for the services of Gonzalo Higuain, but the Argentine's move to the Emirates labored and he was this week announced as Napoli's latest signing.

Supposed interest for Wayne Rooney was calmed when Chelsea joined the party, and Luiz Gustavo said this week that he's willing to fight for his place in Munich's incredible midfield.

Meanwhile, the Suarez saga continues and only seems to drag on as the season nears. Whether or not he was being strategic with his words is only known by him and a few others at Arsenal, but when speaking to the press after their final match in Japan, Wenger emphasized his side's willingness to do business.

"We are ready to do quick deals but all the transfers do not depend only on us," said Wenger. "But we are prepared to wait. It looks unlikely before the Emirates Cup.

"What we want is not a name but a good player. The name is less important. What is more important is the quality of the player. At the moment, I must tell you we are not close to signing anybody.

obećao je sebi novi masni ugovor za selekciju igrača i onda prodaju,dugo vremena se nije dovodilo vrhunske igrače koji bi privukle i druge kvalitetne u klub,ovako se samo krpaju rupe prosječnim igračima.izgleda da i ove sezone neće biti ništa od lova
