OB SMASHED ZRINJSKI MOSTAR
00’’: In the 3rd round of the Europa League qualification, Odense BK welcomed Zrinjski Mostar at TRE-FOR park.
The match starts out calmly. Zrinjski is keeping OB away from chances.
14’’: But after a corner kick for OB, Mladen Zizovic gets the ball and makes a beautiful long pass to Vlado Zadro upfront. He was totally alone, and he calmly tipped the ball over the former Manchester United goalkeeper, Roy Caroll. 1-0 to the underdogs.
16’’: Only 30 seconds after the kickoff, OB outpassed Zrinjski’s poor defense, and Rurik Gislason makes it 1-1.
22’’: Afterwards Zrinjski totally lost control, and 6 minutes later OB scored again. Peter Utaka outdribbled Toni Sunjic, and then he passed the ball to the former Danish international, Johan Absalonsen, and he calmly putted the ball into the net, 2-1.
31’’: The result got even worse after 31 minutes, because OB scored again. This time Peter Utaka scores a beautiful goal from a volley, 3-1.
36’’: Hans Henrik Andreasen makes it 4-1, only 5 minutes after Utaka’s beautiful goal.
HALFTIME: Result could have been 5, 6 or 7-1 at the halftime, but it ‘luckily’ ended 4-1.
59’’: It was a changed OB team, who came out of the locker-rooms after the break. But that couldn’t keep Peter Utaka from scoring his 2nd goal in this match, after breaking through the Zrinjski defense.
66’’: Zrinjski got a penalty, after OB’s new player from the Croatian 2nd disivion, Kalilou Mohamed Traore, touched the ball with his hands. Mladan Zizovic scored to 5-2 from a nice penalty, and things started to look better for Zrinjski.
71’’: Only 5 minutes after Zrinjski scored their 3rd goal. After some nice passes, the ball ends up in Vlado Zadro’s feets, and hemakes it 5-3.
77’’: Zrinjski controlled the match, although they kept giving OB cheap chances (but definitely not as many as in the 1st half). Anyways, after a nice cross from the right side by Vernes Selimovic, the youngster, Mile Pehar, is alone in front of the goal, but unluckily, he didn’t head the ball right.
90’’: After a corner kick, Hans Henrik Andreasen shoots a hard shot at the goal and scores, but it was correctly judged offside, because the Brazilian player, Caca, touched the ball in offside position.
- The match ended and Zrinjski players leaved the pitch relieved and happy, because it could have been much worse. Zrinjski definitely still got hope before facing OB next week. If they can continue getting chances like they did in the 2nd half, then everything is possibly. But sadly, Mirza Rizvanovic is out for the next mach because of too many yellows, and Zrinjski was already without a starting defender today, so at that point Zrinjski's chances looks kind of bad.. But who knows.. With Zadro, Melher, Sunjic and Zizovic everything is possibly, especially with 30 - 40 degrees in Mostar.
Here's two quotes from a Danish football forum:
’’-It’s scary that OB conceded 3 goals, and gave so big chances to a poor Bosnian team. OB seemed to be able to get chances whenever than wanted, but still their defense was so weak and shitty in the 2nd half.. It should not even be legal show that on the TV!’’
And..
’’-..But we gotta thank the football gods for not letting that Pehar-guy scoring to 4-5.’’
