NEW ORLEANS HORNETS @ HOUSTON ROCKETS
I'm not big fan of this Rockets team, but they should be better than Hornets at the moment. Main difference should be on guards positions where Hornets are still without their main weapon Eric Gordon. They are ok under the rim with solid players like Davis, Anderson, Lopez, Smith and even Aminu on SF position and they should be equal with Houston there, but actually I really don't see the man who can stop James Harden on SG position. Hornets have 3 very average options on that position in Austin Rivers, Roger Mason and Xavier Henry and they could easily suffer big tonight on this position.
James Harden came to Houston from Oklahoma where he earn award for best NBA 6th player last season, and here in Houston he take the key and big star role. In his first two games he scored 45 and 37 pts, but in last 4 he slowed down with "only" 19 ppg tnx to lower shooting percentage from the field. But he still spent 18-20 shots per game, he still have around 10 free throws per game (he got more than 82% efficiency from FT line) and I expect him tonight to be unstopable for Hornets. Rockets don't have quality back-up for Harden as only Daquean Cook are option for SG position, and he played only 3 games tthis season with only 5-6 mins on-court. Harden spent almost 40 mins on-court average, and that should be the case in tonights match aswell. Simply, Rockets have their strongest weapon on position which is weakest link of their opponents, and I expect that they will utilize this fact maximally.
PICK: James Harden (Rockets) OVER 22,5 pts @ 1,85 (local bookie) 6,5/10
