Arsenal Signs Three-Year Extension With Citroen

Arsenal have re-signed their sponsorship deal with French car maker Citroen for another three years. Reports say that Citroen will keep their marketing and branding rights for the London club and they will also be supplying the Gunners staff and coaches with vehicles to buzz around town in. Supposedly the staff will have a few cars they can choose from, which are the Grand C4 Picasso MPV, the C4 Picasso and the C4 and C1 Cactus models which are about to be launched by the manufacturer in the near future.

A press release said that Citroen wants to build its relationship with the Premier League side and hopes to break new ground in nations outside of Britain. Citroen especially wants to make more of a noise about its relationship with the team back in France. Of course, they’re hoping to get a good start on this with an FA Cup win over Hull City at Wembley on Saturday.

Citroen has been sponsoring Arsenal as the team’s automotive partner since 2008. The financial details of the contract extension weren't immediately released, but any money in your pocket is a good sign in today’s age of inflated salaries and transfer fees. Experts have estimated that the deal is worth a few million pounds per year though, plus the vehicles.

Koga god da dovedemo nadam se da ce to biti prije svjetskog ako ikako moze, na vrijeme rijesiti sve i onda lagano na pripreme, ali ko da gledam nista od toga bice to jos jedan prelazni rok sa infarkt zavrsnicom za navijace Arsenala. Ako cemo dovesti Auriera koji sigurno moze biti bolji od SAgne bez problema nadam se da ce to uraditi sto prije.

Ali pazi cigana molim te on je umislio da je neka velicina u klubu i da je bitan igrac pa bi on jos visegodisnji ugovor. Traktor raspali i spori, umjesto da je sretan i nabija se nogom u guzicu kako je uspio kao fudbalski mediokirtet tri sezone da igra u klubu kao sto je Arsenal i to standardno u prvih 11 on bi jos ugovor novi? Tako je to kad Wenger polovnjaka uzdigne, ovaj balvan bi u svakom nasem konkurentu vodu nosao na treningu.

Arsenal Told To Pay £45m After Opening £32m Bid Rejected – Report

Reports today claim that Arsenal have seen an opening £32m bid for Angel Di Maria rejected with Real Madrid demanding nearer £45m for the attacker.

We were strongly linked with Di Maria last summer but Carlo Ancelotti decided to hang on to him and opted to sell us Mesut Ozil instead [thanks for that, Carlo].

The Argentinean has since enjoyed a mixed season at the Bernabeu. At times he’s looked unplayable and has chipped in with an impressive 11 goals and 21 assists in his 50 appearances so far.

However, he’s also been criticised by the local media and fans for being inconsistent and there has been talk he could be made available as part of a summer overhaul at Madrid, with President Florentino Perez ready to mix things up after seeing the club miss out on the title for the second consecutive season.

Sevilla attacker Ivan Rakitic is understood to be a key target for the Spaniard’s and Di Maria’s position would come under threat if the Croatian international was to move to the Bernabeu.

The Express newspaper claim that the uncertainty surrounding Di Maria’s future led to Arsenal offering to pay £32m for his services earlier this week, but it seems Real are ready to hold out for a better deal with the club demanding nearer £45m for the winger.

He’s certainly not worth that kind of money, but if we could get him for around £30m-£35m then it would be a great signing. We clearly need to add to our attacking options this summer as our lack of depth in the forward positions ended up costing us this season once the injuries pilled up.

If we’d have had a player of Di Maria’s quality available it would have made a huge difference. If we could sign someone like him, as well as another striker, a defensive midfielder and replacements for Sagna and Vermaelen if they leave, then we’ll be in great shape next year.
