Nets finally have very good squad this season. They have true leader in Deron Williams, strong center in Brook Lopez, great shoter in Joe Johnson, very good forward in Gerald Wallace and few solid back-up players. If they catch biggest form level in the right time they can be very dangerous for any opponent. Joe Johnson is their biggest reinforcement for this season, but he still didn't find his shoting form in new ambience. However, there is no doubt for me that he is one of the best shoters in whole league, with big expirience behind him, and it is only question when he will catch his form. In last 7 season he had average score from 18.2-25.00 ppg; but this season in first 5 games he have only 13.2 ppg. He had enough balls, he spent enough shots, he spent more time on-court than any other Nets player, but simply he still didn't find the rythm. In last 3 games he scored only 9, 13 & 13, and after last game vs. Magic Nets coach had private talk with him which aimed to try to figure out the problem.
Today I expect fast reaction from Johnson. I believe that his teammates will create many space for him tonight because Nets need in-form Johnson if they want to be competetive against best teams in league. Another plus for this bet is injury of Mashoon Brooks who is back-up for Johnson. Gerald Wallace is also highly doubtfull for tonight (already missed last 4 games) and under this circumstances I expect that Joe Johnson will spent at least 35 mins on-court nad try at least 14-15 shots tonight. Cleveland have rookie Dion Waiters on SG position which started his carreer in very good way, but IMO he is still unexpirienced to stop one of the best shoters in whole league.
Johnson don't have problems with making large number of fouls, he is very good FT shoter & great 3pt shoter; so I expect that he will finally have good night. Last season in Hawks jersey Johnson destroyed Cavs with 28, 25 and 22 pts.
PICK: Joe Johnson (Nets) OVER 14,5 pts @ 1,85 (local bookie) 8/10
