Celtic's ATAJIC - "It would be an honor to play for BiH"
Speaking to a Bosnian news outlet, Celtic's young 19 year old striker has declared that he would like nothing more than to play for his country, Bosnia and Herzegovina!
Growing up to a refugee family in Sweden, Atajic took his first steps in the footballing world with Malmo.
When Celtic came knocking, Atajic embraced the opportunity, three years ago. Recovering from a bad injury early on with his time at Celtic, Atajic has recovered and now finds himself on the team sheet of virtually every Celtic match, even the Champions League.
"The organization here is fantastic. Everyone knows their place and they have embraced me with open arms, giving me the opportunity to succeed."
Bahrudin has no qualms about who to play for nationally. "It was always Bosnia for me, without question. There was contact from the Swedish federation but my answer stayed the same, no. If the coaches in Bosnia deem me good enough, I would be honored to play for my country."
Atajic holds Bosnian citizenship and has not played for any other countries, so there would be no need to change sporting citizinship. ( BigBosnia )
